Check a file against the IRW Data Standard
Drop a CSV or TSV file below to check it against the IRW Data Standard (version 1.0). Your file never leaves your browser. The checks run on your own computer, and nothing is sent to the IRW or anywhere else.
You get two answers. Conforms to the standard says whether the file is a valid IRW table. Passes IRW’s intake checks also applies the IRW’s own rules for what it hosts, such as the minimum of 100 respondents. You only need that second answer if you plan to contribute the file.

Up to 100 MB. Larger files are slow in a browser; use irw-validate instead.
Loading the validator (about 15 MB the first time; cached after that)…
The same checks are available on the command line, which is faster for large files and can run in CI:
pip install irw-validate
irw-validate mydata.csv
