4,810 rated or chosen profiles from 2,405 respondents, in up to 2 tasks of 1 profile varying on 4 attributes.

| Description | Albanian-speaking adults in Kosovo (face-to-face, n = 2,405) each heard 2 dispute vignettes (one civil: inheritance or debt; one criminal: domestic violence or murder) in which the character's wealth, expected speed of the state courts and whether everybody or nobody around them used the state were randomized, then said how the character tried to resolve it and how people should resolve it (state, religious cleric or Kanun mediation). |

| Randomization restrictions | yes (stated by the source): Dispute pairs: every respondent heard one civil (Property or Debt) and one criminal (Domestic violence or Murder) vignette (observed in data; the four pairings 593-608 each). Resources wording is dispute-specific (Debt: financially doing well/poorly; others wealthy/poor) and the community pronoun follows the dispute (him/her/them), per the questionnaire. |

Because the attribute levels were not randomized independently, an estimator has to account for the restriction; a plain difference in means across levels can mislead.
