4,182 rated or chosen profiles from 1,071 respondents, in up to 2 tasks of 2 profiles varying on 3 attributes.

One of 2 tables from the same source; this one is the pairs table. The others are listed under Related tables.

About this table

DescriptionPaired text-vignette experiment in which 1,071 Mexico City residents (online survey, Aug 2021) rated two colonias described by a neighbourhood problem, the neighbours' response and its result, for two vignette sets; outcomes: how difficult organizing around a new problem would be (1-5) and whether the neighbours would organize (0/1).

Randomization restrictionsyes (stated by the source): The private neighbours' response and the result text are conditional on the problem: 'compartir su agua y pedir pipas privadas' and the water results occur only with the water problem, 'monitorear la colonia' and the crime results only with shootings. Hence the two private responses have ~12-13% each against ~25% for the shared levels.
Task orderrecorded in the deposit

Because the attribute levels were not randomized independently, an estimator has to account for the restriction; a plain difference in means across levels can mislead.

Outcomes:

ratingHow difficult do you think it would be for the neighbors to organize in the first/second colonia? (translated) [rating, 1 (Extremely difficult) to 5 (Extremely easy)]
rating_organizeWhich colonia(s) do you think the neighbors will organize? (translated; 1 = this colonia named alone or in 'Both', 0 = not) [rating, 0 (not named) to 1 (named)]

The layout (one row per respondent, task and profile; choice/rating outcomes; attr_ columns holding each attribute level as displayed) is defined in the IRW conjoint standard. What the outcomes asked is under Design above.
