About this table

DescriptionMalawian phone-survey respondents (May 2020) heard one vignette in which Covid-19 prevalence in their area, the authority asking (district hospital head or Traditional Authority) and the requested action (handwashing, no gatherings over 50, stay home) were randomized, then said whether they would comply and judged others' compliance, the authority's right to ask, risk reduction and monitoring. 3,125 respondents (religious-leader arm excluded).
