Notes

Conjoint table (irw_conjoint_2). Choice among three scenarios for a disease that may cause deafness, each with a probability of deafness (10-90%), the degree (one ear or both ears) and the cost of a preventive drug (1000-30000 yuan), or none (opt-out, 1,660 of 10,597 tasks); 33 tasks with blank cells dropped. Level text is my translation of the Chinese cells (Chinese yuan, 元). Respondents were randomized to a time-restricted or unrestricted version of the DCE (trial_time_restricted); the same 1,063 people also answered the other DCE (ids are shared between the two tables).
