29,990 rated or chosen profiles from 2,999 respondents, in up to 5 tasks of 2 profiles varying on 6 attributes.

One of 3 tables from the same source; this one is the spain table. The others are listed under Related tables.

About this table

DescriptionAdults in Spain (bilendi online panel, 2022; n = 2,999) chose between and rated (1-7) 5 pairs of hypothetical trade agreements varying in yearly gains or losses (euro) for themselves, the average citizen and the average citizen of the partner country, plus partner size, current trade volume and implementation year.

Randomization restrictionsyes (stated by the source): No agreement with losses on all three payoff attributes (personal, citizen, foreign; 1.45% of payoff combinations); a profile was redrawn if it matched the other profile on all three payoffs. Payoff values drawn in steps of 10 from -100 to 300 (euro; x5 in zloty in Poland).
Task orderrecorded in the deposit

Because the attribute levels were not randomized independently, an estimator has to account for the restriction; a plain difference in means across levels can mislead.

Outcomes:

choiceWhich of the two trade agreements do you prefer? (paraphrase; the article: respondents were asked 'to choose between and to rate (on a scale from 1 to 7) two hypothetical trade agreements') [choice, forced]
ratingRating of each agreement on a scale from 1 to 7 (paraphrase; article Sec. 4.1) [rating, 1 (muy en contra) to 7 (muy a favor)]
