About this table

Description1,024 US adults (Qualtrics panel with quotas, May 2023) chose between 3 pairs of hypothetical countries varying 10 attributes (leader selection, civil liberties, leader constraints, corruption, national economy, own wealth, public safety, health care, minority treatment, own group status) on where they would prefer to be born and grow up, and rated each country 1-7 on how happy they would be to have grown up there.
