5,596 rated or chosen profiles from 2,798 respondents, in up to 2 tasks of 1 profile varying on 3 attributes.

About this table

Description2,798 respondents in Germany, Italy and Poland (March 2021) each rated twice how likely they were to volunteer, and to donate, after a vignette in which a mobilizing actor (friends, local or national aid organization, local administration) displaying an emotion asked for help for older people or people in financial difficulty.

Randomization restrictionsyes (stated by the source): the displayed emotion was assigned conditional on the respondent's own pre-measured emotion: randomized convergence (50/50 same as own emotion or different), so emotion shares are unequal (sadness 32%, guilt 4% of the displayed emotions in the data)
Task orderrecorded in the deposit
Profile positionrecorded in the deposit

Because the attribute levels were not randomized independently, an estimator has to account for the restriction; a plain difference in means across levels can mislead.

Outcomes:

ratingHow likely is it that you would volunteer in support of this group? [rating, 0 (extremely unlikely) to 10 (extremely likely)]
rating_donationHow likely is it that you would donate money to support ...? (paraphrase of the variable label donation_DV) [rating, 1 (very unlikely) to 11 (very likely)]

The layout (one row per respondent, task and profile; choice/rating outcomes; attr_ columns holding each attribute level as displayed) is defined in the IRW conjoint standard. What the outcomes asked is under Design above.
